Phase-Only Pattern Synthesis for Spaceborne Array Antenna Based on Improved Mayfly Optimization Algorithm

A new optimization algorithm—Improved Mayfly Optimization Algorithm (IMOA)—is proposed in this paper to fulfill the low sidelobe level (SLL) design requirements of spaceborne array antenna. MOA is a heuristic algorithm inspired by flying behavior and mating process mayflies. It has unique speed updating system with great convergence, strong stability, fast solution speed, high precision. Based on MOA, IMOA not only introduces adaptive inertial weight factor enhance search ability, but also uses Levy flight strategy golden sine operator improve disadvantage easily falling into local optimal solution. Firstly, according antenna pattern gain sidelobe, an problem model carried out. Then, applied solve controlling phase under given secondary amplitude distribution. Simulation results show that advantages maximum (MSLL) suppression convergence speed. Finally, EM simulations are conducted 528-element planar The performances test very consistent theoretical simulation, which verifies feasibility effectiveness IMOA.
